| Above are pictures of the Hyatt Regency Maui from a big raft that rents out wave runners. We stayed in the left tower, which is called the Napili Tower. The Atrium tower is in the center, and the Lahaina Tower is to the right. The Hyatt is located on one end of Kaanapali Beach. In December, 2005, we stayed in Wailea at the Four Seasons. We actually liked the Hyatt better. It's much closer to Lahaina, the grounds are much larger, and it's not packed with toddlers, which is real problem at the Four Seasons. The Four Seasons caters to kids... very rich kids. | |||||
| Above, the Hyatt Atrium, and below the small beach in front of the hotel. The main part of Kaanapali Beach starts about a block and a half down from the Hyatt's portion of Beach. Kaanapali Beach is one of the best in Hawaii. Below are pictures of the beach in front of the Hyatt. | |||||

| Above left, a video taken during our lunch at Mama's Fish House. Mama's is or favorite restaurant on Maui. The food is great and the Hawaiian atmosphere is spectacular. Above right, a picture taken from the deck of Kimo's, a restaurant in Lahaina that's been there for a very long time. We had dinner there one night, and it was very good. | |||||

The three pictures above, are from the Old Lahaina Luau, which was included in the tour package that we purchased. We wouldn't have gone to this luau if it wasn't included in the package. As luaus go, this one is reportedly the best on Maui. The price of the luau was $97 per person. My suggestion would be to skip it, and go to Mama's Fishouse for dinner instead. The price would roughly be about the same, and you would have a much better dinner and experience. We had a great time at the Hyatt on Maui and I hope you enjoyed the pictures from our trip. Technical notes: The pictures on this page along with most of the video were taken with a very small Canon SD100 digital camera with a Canon underwater housing. I use Photoshop CS2 to process my pictures; and I use Dreamweaver 8 and Flash 8 for my web site. Over one thousand people from all over the world visit my web site every day. |
